Students will explore the roles of an athletic trainer and orthopedic surgeon and learn how to diagnose and treat common sports injuries such as sprains, strains, and athlete’s foot. These future healthcare professionals will explore the famous Tommy John (arm & elbow) surgery and make models of a hand, joint, and tendon.

Our STEM Sleuths program is a 6-hour course designed to expose students to the forensic science used to solve a crime. Students will conduct experiments on fingerprinting, collecting shoe prints, chromatography, composite drawing, facial reconstruction, toxicology, and handwriting analysis. The class culminates in the forensic student team working together to solve a crime.

Students will roleplay the key responsibilities of a doctor and explore the human optical system and different parts of the ear. These future doctors will learn about life-saving skills, emergency preparedness, nutrition, using splints/casts, and how to read X-rays. (Please note that Little Doctor School 1, 2 and 3 do not have to be taken in sequence.)

Students will adopt and name their plush horse and learn the anatomy and maintenance of a horse. They will also learn basic horse nutrition, riding styles, gaits and role-play and basic key responsibilities of an equine veterinarian.

The season runs from mid June through mid August. Teams will practice approximately two times each week (one weeknight and once on Sundays). When games begin in late June, teams will primarily play one or two weeknights a week, and have a practice on Sunday. Teams will practice and play games at various times on weeknights.

Ukulele is a great way to get kids interested in performing music. Learn proper playing technique and simple tunes paced for the very young musician with a focus on fun! Students must provide their own instrument. Please note age range has changed (previously 5-7).

Learn classical guitar techniques and build confidence while playing popular songs. Students learn to improvise, play by ear, play chord progressions, and read music in a fun, small-group environment. Students must provide their own acoustic guitar. All are invited to perform in monthly shows in the community. Please note change in age range (previously 8-13).

Programs that begin at age K5 are eligible to 5-year-olds currently enrolled or completed Kindergarten in the current or most recent traditional school year calendar.
